External Scholarships
The following is a comprehensive list of scholarships that are currently available to A.C. Jones students. Please be advised that the list is updated frequently. We recommend that you make an appointment to review your scholarship options with the JBSP team. Please stop by the office or contact Mrs. DeLaRosa at bdelarosa@beevilleisd.net.
The Hagan Scholarship
Award Amount: Up to $60,000
Eligibility:
Must graduate from a public, private charter, or STEM high school
Must be fluent in the English language.
Must be in the high school graduating class
Must achieve a 3.5 GPA
Must enroll in an eligible college or university the first semester following graduation
Must maintain a 4 year or less graduation schedule
Must work 240 hours from January 1, 2025 until September 1, 2025.
Applicants Adjusted Gross Household Income reported for 2023 Federal Income Tax Purposes must not have exceeded $100,000.
Must provide the first two pages of their FAFSA Submission Summary showing their Student Aid Index.
Must apply for Federal and State grants if eligible.
Must not have a felony conviction

Equitable Excellence Scholarship Program
Award Amount: $5,000
Eligibility:
Be current high school seniors in one of the 50 U.S. states, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two-or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.
Demonstrate ambition and self-drive to be a force for good in your community by encouraging others to pursue higher education.
Be willing to provide a release to publicize their identities and information about their achievements along with photographs for use in program promotion and information.
Have a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship
Award Amount: $40,000
Eligibility:
High School senior with at least 2.3 cumulative GPA
Have a financial gap to fill
Plan to pursue a programming degree at college (computer science/computer engineering or related field)
Need to have taken computer science or hardware engineering classes in high school or at a college dual program, or currently be enrolled in one.

The GE Reagan Foundation Scholarship
Award Amount: $40,000 ($10,000 per year)
Eligibility: To be eligible for this award, applicants must:
demonstrate at school, at the workplace, and within the community the attributes of leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship.
demonstrate strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 grade point average/4.0 scale or equivalent).
be citizens of the United States of America.
be current high school seniors attending high school in the United States (students living on U.S. Armed Forces base and homeschooled students are also eligible); and
plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study toward a bachelor’s degree at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.

The Jackie Robinson Foundation
Award Amount: Varies
Eligibility:
Be a graduating, minority high school senior
Be a United States citizen
Present evidence of financial need
Demonstrate a record of academic excellence
Demonstrate leadership potential and a dedication to community service
Plan to attend an accredited and approved 4-year college within the United States or affiliated with a United States-based college or university
Have not accrued more than 25% of credits needed to graduate from college.

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship
Award Amount: Up to $55,000
Eligibility:
High School Senior
Must enroll in an accredited four-year college beginning in the Fall of 2025
Unweighted GPA of 3.75 or higher
Financial need: Family income $95,000 or less

Corporate Future of Chemistry Scholarship for Women
Award Amount: $10,000
Eligibility:
Self-identify as Female.
Be high school seniors or graduates, who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.
Be pursuing a STEM* (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), MIQA (Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance), Technical, or Operation Manufacturing Support degree.
*Medical-related degrees are not eligible.Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

Robert Meakins Scholarship
Award Amount: $1,000
Eligibility:
Must have a sponsor in law enforcement or a first responder.
Must be seeking a degree or certification in Criminal Justice, EMT Training, or Nursing.
Must be a graduating senior at a high school in Bee or Live Oak County.
Must include a recommendation letter from sponsor.
Scholarship is not need based and GPA is considered, but not a deciding factor. Volunteer time, sponsor recommendation, community involvement, leadership, good academic standing will all help us determine our selection.
Record a video no longer than 3 minutes
Must show proof of enrollment before scholarship is received.

Mike Reyes Memorial
Award Amount: $1,000
Eligibility:
Must attend a 4-year university/college.
Please attach a 2 page, double spaced, typed essay explaining;
o (1) financial situations which need to be considered
o (2) your career goals and the education you intend to pursue.
o (3) your most important goals in life and explain how this scholarship might help you achieve those goals.
Attach a resume and a transcript with rank and GPA.
A total of 4-$1,000 scholarships will be awarded.

Lockheed Martin
Award Amount: $10,000
Eligibility:
U.S. Citizens.
Current high school seniors with a cumulative 2.5 or above GPA, or current college freshmen, sophomores, or juniors with a cumulative 2.5 or above GPA.
Planning to enroll or already enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S.
Majoring or planning to major in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber/Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
Demonstrate financial need.
Be willing to consider a paid internship with Lockheed Martin following freshman, sophomore or junior year of college, other circumstances notwithstanding (note: the internship is not required to receive a scholarship, and scholarship recipients are not guaranteed an internship).

National Italian American Foundation
Award Amount: $12,000
Eligibility:
Be enrolled in a US accredited institution of higher education on a full-time basis for the Fall 2024 semester
Have a GPA of at least 3.5 out of 4.0
Be a United States Citizen or permanent resident alien
Have Italian American ancestry. To be considered Italian American, the student must have at least one ancestor who has immigrated from Italy

American Welding Society National Scholarship
Award Amount: $7,000
Eligibility:
Be planning to pursue a bachelor’s or associate degree in welding or a related discipline.
Be enrolled in a US accredited institution for the Fall 2024 semester.

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
Award Amount: $40,000
Eligibility:
Child or step-child of one of the following:
Active duty, Reserve, or veteran* U.S. Marine
A Marine killed while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps
Active duty, reserve, or veteran U.S. Navy Corpsman, Navy Chaplain or Religious Program Specialist who is or was attached to a U.S. Marine Corps unit or who was killed while serving with a U.S. Marine Corps unit*
Minimum unweighted 2.00 GPA
Demonstrate financial need through a family adjusted gross income of $117,000 or less for the 2022 tax year
Attending or planning to attend an accredited school that is eligible for federal funding
Submit a completed application with all required documents by the deadline
* Veterans must have received an honorable discharge.

Women’s Cyber Security Scholarship
Award Amount: $5,000
Eligibility:
Must be pursuing, or plan to pursue, a degree with a focus on cybersecurity, information assurance or similar field.
You may be a senior in high school, an undergraduate student, graduate or post graduate student to be eligible.”
GPA must be at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or an analogous rank based on a comparable scale).
You may be a citizen of any country (US citizenship not required).
May be attending on campus or online.
May be attending full-time or part-time
May be attending in the US or Internationally
You do not currently need to be enrolled, however no awards will be disbursed until the recipient is enrolled in a college or university.

Houston Area Go Texan
Award Amount: $20,000
Eligibility:
Be a U.S. citizen and Texas resident
Graduating high school senior from eligible school.

AMTRAK Academic Scholarship Program

Eligibility:
Student pursing a degree (undergraduate or graduate) as a full-time student.
Must maintain minimum GPA of 2.8 at time of award as proven by official transcript.
High school students must submit their official H.S. transcripts as well as their college acceptance letter to be fully considered

The Haraldson Foundation

National Space Club
Award Amount: $15,000
Eligibility:
The applicant must be a U.S. citizen
The scholarship is open to seniors in high school through graduate students
The applicant must have the intention of pursuing a career in the STEM fields and plan to attend an accredited U.S. college or university to follow a course of study to pursue a career in the STEM field, with a preference for those with space related interests.
The applicant can only use the $15,000 scholarship towards tuition for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The applicant must not have previously spoken at the Dr. Robert H. Goddard Memorial Dinner.

Dr. Michael Dewey Dubose Memorial Scholarship

Bee County A&M Club Scholarship
Award Amount: Varies
Eligibility:
Must be a resident (have a permanent address) of Bee County
Must be a graduate of a Bee County high school or must be a member of the immediate family of a current Bee County A&M Club Member.

Must be accepted and plan to attend Texas A&M University at College Station

Bee County Go Texan
Award Amount: 5- $1,000
Eligibility:
The applicant must be a graduating senior of A. C. Jones High School ranked in the upper third (1/3) of his/her graduating class. This ranking, which is to be the most recent available, is to be verified as part of the official transcript and include GPA.
The applicant must enroll in either a college or university within the confines of the state of Texas and participate in a curriculum leading to a bachelor’s degree.
The recipient shall be free to choose his/her own field of study.
Proof of enrollment will need to be sent to the Bee County Area Go Texan Committee by September 1st before any scholarship funds are awarded.

Dennis Henneke College or University Scholarship
Award Amount: $16,000
Eligibility:
Be a citizen of the United States. If the applicant’s transcript reflects a place of birth other than the United States, appropriate proof of citizenship must be furnished (i.e., a copy of the photo page of a valid U.S. passport, a copy of Naturalization Certificate or a birth certificate for the U.S. Citizen Born Abroad). Applications submitted without proof of citizenship will not be considered. Students with permanent resident status are not eligible to apply.
Be a Texas resident.
Attended a high school or were home schooled in one of the following Texas counties: Aransas, Bee, Goliad, Karnes, Kleberg, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Victoria, and possible surrounding counties.
Be a graduating senior in the school year 2023-2024 or a student already enrolled in a College, University or Trade School or a returning student. (Possible exceptions will be made at the discretion of the Board of Directors)
Provide official documentation showing your ACT/SAT and Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment test scores, not applicable if already attending a college or university. May also provide documentation of completion of College Prep Courses in lieu of TSI. (Special consideration for Technical Colleges and Certificate Programs)
Have made formal application to enroll with intent to attend an accredited, not-for- profit college or university and participate in a curriculum leading to a bachelor’s degree or higher. Accredited Technical Schools and Certificate Programs will also be considered.
