The following is a comprehensive list of scholarships that are currently available to A.C. Jones students. Please be advised that the list is updated frequently. Rumba Meats Scholarship
Award Amount: $1,000
Eligibility:
Must be a high school senior graduating in the Spring of 2025
Applicants must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as full-time undergraduate students in an accredited four-year or two-year institution in the U.S. or U.S. territories
Students must verify their enrollment status for the 2025/2026 academic school year prior to scholarship disbursement
Non-U.S. Citizens are eligible to apply (DACA or undocumented).
Applicants must demonstrate a verifiable need for financial support
Consistent, active participation in public and/or community service activities
At least one parent must be of Hispanic ancestry
Minimum 2.5 GPA

Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards
Award Amount: Varies
Eligibility:
Be currently enrolled in high school and graduating in the spring of 2025
Must have a minimum unweighted 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or 7.5 on a 10.0 scale
Must enroll at an accredited higher education institution in 2025-2026
Be of Hispanic heritage (includes Spain, Brazil, Philippines)
If selected, attendance to virtual regional awards ceremony is mandatory

Hispanic Scholarship Fund
Award Amount: $500-$5,000
Eligibility:
Must be of Hispanic heritage
U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or DACA
Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students; minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for college and graduate students
Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited, public or not-for-profit, four-year university, or graduate school, in the US, for the 2024-2025 academic year
Submit the FAFSA or state-based financial aid forms (if applicable)

McDonalds Hacer National Scholarship
Award Amount: $5,000-$100,000
Eligibility:
You’re a high school senior
You’re a legal U.S. resident
You’re younger than 21 years old
You carry a minimum 2.8 GPA
You have at least one parent of Hispanic heritage
Deadline: February 13, 2024
Dr. Juan Andrade, Jr. Scholarship for Young Hispanic Leaders
Award Amount: $1,000 & $500
Eligibility:
Applicant must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a full-time student, in an accredited four-year or two-year institution in the US and demonstrate a verifiable need for financial support.
At least one parent must be of Hispanic ancestry
Deadline: Nov 30
