The following is a comprehensive list of scholarships that are currently available to A.C. Jones students. Please be advised that the list is updated frequently. We recommend that you make an appointment to review your scholarship options with the JBSP team. Please stop by the office or contact Mrs. DeLaRosa at bdelarosa@beevilleisd.net.

Award Amount: $500

Eligibility:

  • Parents or guardian must be a Bee County Farm Bureau member in good standing for at least one year.

  • Applicant must be a graduating senior of high school in Bee County (AC Jones, Pettus, Skidmore-Tynan)

  • Applicants can be pursuing any major.

  • Scholarship amount is $500. First semester $250 will be awarded upon proof of registration. The second half of the award, $250 will be issued upon proof of passing grades and second semester registration.

  • Applications must be post marked no later than March 28, 2025.

  • Please print or type the answers. All signatures must be written in ink. You may use as many extra sheets of paper as you wish, but remember brevity shows an organized mind. LULAC National Scholarship Fund

Award Amount: $250-$2,000

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, or be granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).

  • Must have applied to or be enrolled as a full-time student in a college or university, including 2-year colleges, or vocational schools that lead to an associate’s degree. Graduate students must have applied to or be enrolled as a part-time student in a college or university.

  • A student will not be eligible for a scholarship if he/she is related to a scholarship committee member, the Council President, or an individual contributor to the local funds of the Council

  • Locations: In 2024-25, sixty-two (64) LULAC Councils participated from the following: Arizona, Arkansas, California, District of Columbia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Wisconsin.

Eligibility:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or a legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.

  • Be a permanent resident (5 or more consecutive years) of and have a permanent South or West Texas address in one of our 30 counties.

  • Have earned/completed at least 12 undergraduate credit hours at a U.S. accredited college or university before applying for the scholarship (Dual and Advanced Placement credits accepted.).

  • Have a minimum college cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale.

  • Have completed a high school diploma or its equivalent prior to the Fall of the new academic year.

Eligibility:

  • Funds shall be used to attend an accredited vocational or technical school, college or university. Student must maintain full time status.

  • Applicants must be high school seniors, graduating within the current school year.

  • Applicant must demonstrate that they have a tentative educational plan and goals, related to fields in agriculture or natural resources (may include Ag Communications, Ag Economics/Business, Ag Education, Wildlife or Ranch Management, etc.).

  • Applicants must include digital copies of the following documents along with their completed online application for consideration:
              a. Copy of recent high school transcript
              b. 2 letters of recommendation

  • Applicants must be high school seniors graduating from a high school or homeschool program located within one of the nine counties served by SPEC. (Aransas, Bee, Goliad, Jim Wells, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces, Refugio and San Patricio County)

  • Scholarships will be granted to support attendance at a recognized institution of higher education, which may be either a college/university or a vocational/technical institution.

  • Must attend a public, private, charter, or STEM high school in the U.S.

Eligibility:

  • Must be pursuing, or plan to pursue, a degree with a focus on cybersecurity, information assurance or similar field.

  • You may be a senior in high school, an undergraduate student, graduate or post graduate student to be eligible.”

  • GPA must be at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or an analogous rank based on a comparable scale).

Science Without Borders Scholarship

Science Without Borders Scholarship

Award Amount: $500, $350, $200

Eligibility:

This international art competition is open to all students 11-19 years old. Students must be enrolled in primary or secondary school, or the home school equivalent. College and university students are not eligible for this contest.

Work will be judged in two categories based on age, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes awarded for each:

  • Students 11-14 years old

  • Students 15-19 years old

  • Submissions must be made online. Email submissions are not permitted.

  • All artwork must be an original work by the contestant and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties. Do not copy an idea from a past participants’ work.

  • Do not submit artwork to the Science Without Borders® Challenge that you have entered into another art competition.

  • The artwork must be 2D such as a painting or drawing. Acceptable media includes paint, pencil, marker, crayon, ink, felt, and oil pastel. Using magazines, newspapers, or other non-original work is also not permitted. Digitally created artwork, including photographs, are not accepted.

  • There are no minimum or maximum size requirements for the artwork.

  • Participants may submit only 1 art piece.
