The following is a comprehensive list of scholarships that are currently available to A.C. Jones students. Please be advised that the list is updated frequently. Equitable Excellence Scholarship Program

Award Amount: $5,000

Eligibility:

  • Be current high school seniors in one of the 50 U.S. states, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two-or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.

  • Demonstrate ambition and self-drive to be a force for good in your community by encouraging others to pursue higher education.

  • Be willing to provide a release to publicize their identities and information about their achievements along with photographs for use in program promotion and information.

  • Have a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Award Amount: up to $10,000

Eligibility:

  • United States citizen

  • Texas resident

  • Reside in one of the following Texas counties: Aransas, Bee, Goliad, Karnes, Kleberg, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Victoria

  • Graduating senior in the school year 2023-2024 or a student already enrolled in a Texas Trade School or College or an individual with a high school diploma or GED pursuing a Trade or Certification in Texas

  • Planning to attend an accredited trade, technical or vocational school in Texas

  • To maintain eligibility for scholarship benefits beyond the initial award, an overall passing grade in all classes

Eligibility:

  • United States citizen

  • Texas resident

  • Attend high school in one of the following Texas counties: Aransas, Bee, Goliad, Karnes, Kleberg, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Victoria

  • Graduating senior in the school year 2023-2024 or a student already enrolled in an accredited Texas College or University.

  • Provide official documentation showing your ACT/SAT or Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment test scores

  • Planning to attend a college or university in the state of Texas

Award Amount: $12,000

Eligibility:

  • Be enrolled in a US accredited institution of higher education on a full-time basis for the Fall 2024 semester

  • Have a GPA of at least 3.5 out of 4.0

  • Be a United States Citizen or permanent resident alien

  • Have Italian American ancestry. To be considered Italian American, the student must have at least one ancestor who has immigrated from Italy

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation

Award Amount: $40,000

Eligibility:

  • Child or step-child of one of the following:

    • Active duty, Reserve, or veteran* U.S. Marine

    • A Marine killed while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps

    • Active duty, reserve, or veteran U.S. Navy Corpsman, Navy Chaplain or Religious Program Specialist who is or was attached to a U.S. Marine Corps unit or who was killed while serving with a U.S. Marine Corps unit*

  • Minimum unweighted 2.00 GPA

  • Demonstrate financial need through a family adjusted gross income of $117,000 or less for the 2022 tax year

  • Attending or planning to attend an accredited school that is eligible for federal funding

  • Submit a completed application with all required documents by the deadline

    * Veterans must have received an honorable discharge.

AMTRAK Academic Scholarship Program

Award Amount: Varies

Eligibility:

  • Student pursing a degree (undergraduate or graduate) as a full-time student.

  • Must maintain minimum GPA of 2.8 at time of award as proven by official transcript.

  • High school students must submit their official H.S. transcripts as well as their college acceptance letter to be fully considered

Eligibility:

  • Be a high school senior

  • Plan to complete a trade-related program after April 15, 2024.

  • Be enrolled or plan to enroll in an approved trade program at an accredited two-year college, vocational, or technical school, or other approved technical institute in the United States.  Four-year degree or bachelor programs are not eligible.

Bee County Area Go Texan Trade School Scholarship

Bee County Area Go Texan Trade School Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,000

Eligibility:

  • The graduate must be a graduating senior of Bee County High School.

  • The recipient shall be free to choose the vocational field or professional trade of their choice.

  • The applicant must enroll in a vocational program, trade school, or a college that offers a certificate program.

  • Proof of enrollment will need to be sent to the Bee County Area Go Texan Committee by September 1st before any funds are awarded.

Deadline: April 1
