Welcome back students and teachers!

Yvette Shaffer, Assistant Director for Texas A&M University, will be on site to assist future Aggies with their college admissions and scholarship applications.

Students and parents will learn about the Barnhart Honor Cord requirements, Barnhart Scholars Award, volunteer opportunities, scholarships, and resumes.

Open to all ACJ seniors. All attendees will have the opportunity to start and complete their college admission and scholarship applications. Students who submit their admissions application early in the year have the best chance of receiving their first choice major. 

Students and parents will learn about the Barnhart Honor Cord requirements, NCAA for college athletes, college admissions process, ACT/SAT, Hazelwood Act, scholarships, and financial aid.

New and returning Barnhart Mentors are invited to join the JBSP Team for training in preparation for the 2024-2025 school year.  All Barnhart Mentors work one-on-one with students to motivate, counsel, and assist in navigating hurdles required for college admission. This includes guidance in completing a resume, registering for college entrance exams, identifying volunteer opportunities, completing applications for scholarships and financial aid, completing applications for college admission, and more.

JBSP staff to visit Del Mar College. During this informative trip, staff will gather valuable information to share with the students.

Need help creating an FSA ID? JBSP is here to help! Parents and students are invited to a FREE in person workshop to set up their FSA ID, review the application process and answer questions about financial aid opportunities. Creating an FSA ID is the first step to completing the FAFSA application which is a graduation requirement. Students who complete the FAFSA application could be eligible for a Federal Pell Grant of up to $7,395. Door prizes will be awarded!
